Since 1992, December 3rd has marked the United Nations “International Day of Persons with Disabilities.” For one remarkable Hamilton woman this day takes on a special meaning.
Talli Osborne spreads her message of hope as a motivational speaker, from Ted talks in Toronto, to Supercrawl in Hamilton.
‘I want kids to grow up with the idea that everyone is different and that’s what makes the world beautiful.
“We were in charge of Supercrawl and we had a zone called “What is Beauty?” and we thought who better to help us out than Talli.” said Kerry Wade from Black Bird Studios.
And Talli’s inner beauty shines through with everyone she comes into contact with.
“She takes everything in stride. Nothing is too big of an obstacle for her, she takes everything on without hesitation.”
Tomorrow marks the United Nations International Day of Persons with Disabilities. It focuses on removing the challenges and barriers that they face everyday. Which is something Talli faces head on.
If you can shine even though you’re different and look in the mirror and smile even though you may not be “perfect,” that’s beauty to me.”
