Debris found on Reunion Island belongs to missing flight MH370

[UPDATED]
Malaysia’s prime minister says experts have determined that a wing fragment found near Madagascar is from missing flight MH370.
Prime Minister Najib Razak said at a news conference that “an international team of experts have conclusively confirmed that the aircraft debris found on Reunion Island is indeed MH370.”
The wing fragment washed up on the Indian Ocean island and was sent to France, where experts began examining it today.
Investigators will analyze the metal with high-powered microscopes to probe what caused the plane to go down.
Last week, Malaysian authorities confirmed the wing was from a Boeing 777. Officials said MH370 is the only 777 lost at sea.
The plane had 239 people on board when it vanished, during a trip from Kuala Lumpur to Beijing in March 2014.
This is the first real breakthrough in the search for the flight.
