Death toll has risen to 36 following warehouse fire in Oakland, California

Update: Death toll has now risen to 36, police don’t believe additional bodies will be found.
Officials in Oakland, California say the death toll has risen to 24 after a fire tore through a converted warehouse.
The fire started at about 11:30 p.m., Friday, during an electronic dance party.
Rescue crews continue to search for more victims in the wreckage of the two-story warehouse.
Heavy equipment was also brought in to help with the recovery efforts.
Reports say the warehouse was known as the “Ghost Ship” and people who lived there or visited said it was an artist workspace and illegal home for a rotating group of several residents.
Officials believe 50 to 100 people may have been at the dance party. They also believe the death toll will continue to rise.
