Death in Hamilton jail

A prisoner has died at the Hamilton Wentworth Detention Centre on Barton Street.

The body of a 25 year old man was found early Friday morning.

The coroner’s office is investigating and isn’t saying yet how the man died.

An autopsy will be done Friday or Saturday.
