Deadmau5 grand marshall of Niagara Falls parade

Thousands of people lined the streets in downtown Niagara Falls today to watch the Canada Day parade.

The grand marshall this year was Niagara Falls’ own Deadmau5. His real name is Joel Zimmerman.

The electronic music artist grew up in Niagara Falls, playing local city bars before hitting it big.

At a party following the parade mayor Jim Diodati presented Deadmau5 with the key to the city.
