Deadly Crash in West Lincoln

A 27-year-old Welland man was killed Monday evening when his car collided with another in West Lincoln. It happened on Canborough Road near Boyle Road at around 8:15pm.

Police say the man was driving southbound in a 1997 GMC when it crashed into a 2008 Ford heading west.  The man died on scene.  A 23-year old passenger in his car and the 62-year-old driver of the Ford suffered serious injuries.  Both were airlifted to hospital and are expected to survive.

The collision remains under investigation. Witnesses are asked to call the Niagara Regional Police collision reconstruction unit at 905-688-4111, ext. 5500.
