Deadly crash south of Thorold

At least one person is dead and three others are injured after a nasty crash on Holland Road, south of Thorold Tuesday evening.

Just after 7:30, Niagara regional police were called to the winding stretch of road after investigators say a car speeding along the road lost control on a curve, left the road, and slammed into a tree.

One person in the car was killed instantly. Two men and two women were in the car at the time. They range in age from 19 to 25. Police haven’t said how old the person who died is, and there’s a chance another passenger in the car could succumb to injuries also.
