Members of Canada’s Disaster Assistance Response Team came home on Sunday after spending a month in Nepal helping earthquake survivors.

They were sent to Nepal days after a 7.8 magnitude quake rocked the country on April 25th, leaving 8,000 people dead.

The team treated patients, distributed water filtration units, and focused on clearing roads.

They had some scary moments as they worked amid some powerful aftershocks, and a second earthquake that temporarily cut one of the teams off from their main base.
