Daily COVID-19 death toll lowest since October

Ontario is reporting 1023 new cases of COVID-19 today and six more deaths related to the virus. That’s the lowest single day death toll recorded since October 28th of last year. Yesterday there were 1062 cases reported and 1185 on Saturday. With more than 35,000 tests completed, the positivity rate is 3.1%, down from the 3.3% on Monday of last week. 659 people are in Ontario hospitals with 280 in intensive care.
