Cyclists struck in Oakville
Two cyclists were struck by a vehicle Tuesday morning in Oakville.
An accident reconstruction team was called to the scene after 10am.
An 87 year old Mississauga man was travelling westbound on Upper Middle Road on the bridge over the Sixteen Mile Creek when he struck the cyclists who were also heading westbound.
One cyclist was knocked over a barrier, landing on an adjacent walkway.
One cyclist, a 22 year old male from Milton, was transported by EMS to Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital where he was treated for minor injuries.
The other cyclist, an 18 yr old Oakville man, was taken to Hamilton General Hospital where he is in serious but stable condition with head injuries.
