Cyclists plan ride to honour Grimsby man killed in hit-and-run

A group of cyclists in Grimsby are organizing a ride to honour the man who was killed in a hit-and-run crash earlier this week.
Organizer David Winkler says the cycling community will be riding from Casablanca Inn to the site where a 51-year-old man from Grimsby was killed on Sunday.
The cyclist was struck by a vehicle on the North Service Rd. between Sann Rd. North and Tufford Rd. North around 7:30 a.m.
The vehicle fled the scene and police launched a hunt for the driver.
A 37-year-old man turned himself in to police the following day.
Brent Armitage, of Oshawa, has been charged with fail to stop cause death.
Winkler says the ride will start at 6 p.m. and run along the Waterfront Trail.
