Cyclist struck on Hamilton Mountain

A 21-year-old woman is in serious but stable condition after a crash in Hamilton Monday evening.

She was riding her bike on Concession Street near East 17th Street at around 5:30 p.m. when she was hit by a pickup truck, police said.

Witnesses say the woman was dragged three to four metres before being run over by both sets of wheels.

She was then taken to Hamilton General Hospital.

The investigation is ongoing. Police have not laid any charges.
