Cyclist struck and killed outside Guelph

Ontario Provincial Police in Welland County are investigating a fatal collision involving a cyclist.

Officers were called to Wellington Road 7 between Wellington Road 51 and Eighth Line, north of Guelph around 6:30 a.m. Tuesday.

Police say a male cyclist was struck by a vehicle and died at the scene.

The man’s identity is not being released until his family is notified.

The OPP is asking anyone who may have been driving on County 7 southbound and saw the cyclist to contact them at 1-888-310-1122.
