Cyclist seriously injured after early morning collision in Oakville

An early morning collision in Oakville has resulted in a cyclist being seriously injured as roads remain closed for police investigation.
Halton police responded to reports of a cyclist having been struck by a vehicle in the area of Lakeshore Road East and Watson Avenue around 6:55 a.m.
The male cyclist was taken to hospital to be treated for serious injuries.

Lakeshore Rd. East remains closed in both directions from First Street to Gloucester Avenue and Watson Avenue is closed from Randall Street to Lakeshore Road East as police continue to investigate.
Drivers are asked to avoid the area at this time. Halton police say the roads will remain closed for sometime, with no estimates on when they can be expected to reopen.
