Cyclist hit by vehicle near Cootes Dr.

On June 16 just after 8:00pm, the Hamilton Police responded to the area of Cootes Drive and Sanders Boulevard after receiving reports that a cyclist was struck by a vehicle.

Hamilton Fire Department and EMS were also called to the scene for medical assistance.

The cyclist, a 19 years old female from Hamilton was transported to hospital with serious injuries. She was not wearing a helmet at the time of the incident.

Speed and alcohol was not a factor for the driver involved in the incident.
