Crews battle fully involved fire at sushi restaurant in Norfolk

Ontario Provincial Police in Norfolk are investigating after a fire tore through a restaurant south of Simcoe yesterday afternoon, causing significant damage.
The fire happened at Sakura Sushi Restaurant, located at 868 Norfolk St. South/Highway 24, and fully engulfed the building.

The Norfolk County Fire Department and Norfolk EMS arrived at the scene shortly after 4 p.m.
Cst. Ed Sanchuk said in a video on Twitter that everyone reportedly escaped the building and there were no injuries as a result of the fire.
Police closed Highway 24 East between St. Johns Rd. East and Lynn Valley Rd. for about five hours while crews worked to contain the blaze.
