The former MPP for Niagara Falls is running for a seat on city council in the next municipal election.

Kim Craitor unexpectedly resigned in September from provincial politics after serving 10 years as an MPP. He says he left due to mental exhaustion.

Now Craitor says he is going to run for Niagara Falls city council in 2014, where he served for 13 years between 1990 and 2003.
