COVID-19 outbreak declared at Juravinski Hospital and Cancer Centre

A COVID-19 outbreak has been declared at Juravinski Hospital and Cancer Centre.

Hamilton Health Sciences declared the outbreak on the E3 medicine unit after two staff members and one patient tested positive for the virus.

The infected staff members are currently in isolation at home. Other workers on the unit are being tested.

According to a news release sent by Hamilton Health Sciences, the unit is closed for admissions and visitors, expect on compassionate grounds.

Staff working on the unit will not work anywhere else until the outbreak is declared over.
