COVID-19 outbreak declared at Hamilton Paramedic Service Limeridge Base

The Hamilton Paramedic Service has declared a COVID-19 outbreak as its Limeridge base after three employees tested positive for the virus.
The affected employees last worked between Dec. 28 and Jan. 1.
The city says the employees followed all proper usage for personal protective equipment and are not believed to have an any unprotected contact with the public.
The service’s Limeridge base location will be deep cleaned.
The city says there will be no interruptions to service or operations.
On Tuesday, Hamilton reported 1,714 active cases of COVID-19 and another 11 deaths.
Four of those deaths are connected to Grace Villa, which now has 231 cases and 42 deaths.
