Councillors consider whether HECFI’s worth it

Janet Jackson, Elton John, Cirque Du Soleil and MMA battles – the headliners at Hamilton’s entertainment and convention facilities are big names.

And people from across Southern Ontario come to check them out, but the future of the group that runs it all is up in the air after a dismal 2010 that saw HECFI lose millions.
So the city put up $90,000 to review the agency, and Thursday councillors put in their two cents on what should happen next.
