Corktown assault

Hamilton police are investigating a sexual assault that happened over the weekend.

A woman in her 20’s was knocked to the ground and sexually assaulted by an unknown male at the Corktown Plaza on the southeast corner of John and Young Streets.

The suspect was chased by a male witness, but got away.

He’s described as a white male in his 40’s with a medium build, shaggy short hair and scruffy facial hair. He was wearing a dark colour wind breaker style coat.

Witnesses are asked to contact Hamilton police.
