Copps signs come down
The Copps Coliseum signs have officially been taken down from the Hamilton arena.
Workers took down the iconic sign one piece at a time today. The arena has been officially named FirstOntario Centre and the Copps signage needed to be taken away.
The new sign should be installed in the next few weeks with the tag line ‘in honour of Victor K Copps.’ Copps was Hamilton’s mayor in the 60s and 70s.
