Copps Coliseum renamed

Copps Coliseum has been officially renamed.

From today forward, the home arena of the Hamilton Bulldogs will be called the FirstOntario Centre.

Global Spectrum made a 10-year deal for the naming rights earlier this week.

The venue was named after past Hamilton mayor Victor Copps.

Global Spectrum says they won’t forget him, though. “In honour of Victor k. Copps” will follow the “FirstOntario Centre” name.

More details are set to be released this Thursday.
