Brantford city officials are forewarning drivers that construction on Highway 403 and Wayne Gretzky Parkway will begin April 14. Traffic disruptions are expected.

The city says the construction will result in closures at the Hwy 403 eastbound on-ramp and the eastbound off-ramp.

Additionally, traffic will be reduced to a single lane in both directions on Wayne Gretzky Parkway between Morton Ave. East and Edmonson St. These lane reductions are expected to cause delays during peak travel times.

Drivers should also expect nightly single-lane closures on Highway 403 in both east and westbound directions as part of the ongoing work.

The speed limit will be reduced to 80 km/h through construction zones.
