Conditions in Norfolk dog case

The Ontario Superior Court has outlined a set of conditions against a Norfolk County man after 149 dogs were found in what the SPCA called “deplorable conditions” in his care last year.

The dogs, mostly Italian greyhounds, were removed by the Hamilton-Burlington SPCA from a kennel on this Waterford property in October. 43-year old John-Angel Voyager, his partner 45-year old Thomas Crapopoulos and their landlord, Lisa Avery, each face numerous charges relating to animal neglect. Wednesday, the Superior Court released ten conditions Voyager must follow for the next ten years, including obtaining a kennel permit, and keeping no more than twenty dogs at a time. Neighbours say they are relieved something has been done.
