Concession Street fire keeps Hamilton firefighters busy Monday

Fire crews returned to a burned-out commercial-residential building on Hamilton Mountain after 7:30 a.m. Monday to extinguish another fire that re-ignited there since the initial fire began earlier Monday morning.
The Ontario Fire Marshall’s office has been called to help determine the cause of a fire at the former Ole Mexican Grill on 642 Concession Street.
The front of the building was fully engulfed in flames when fire crews arrived just after midnight.
The flames destroyed the commercial storefront and apartments at the back of the building.
No one was inside at the time.
The damage is estimated at $250,000.
