Community mailboxes coming to Hamilton

Love them or hate them, community mailboxes are coming. Despite strong opposition from Hamilton city council today, it looks like Canada Post will be going ahead with plans to install super mailboxes throughout the city, ending home mail delivery – for good.
Today Canada Post officials met with Hamilton councillors. They promised to work with the city to find the best suitable locations for community mailboxes adding it won’t cost Hamilton taxpayers a dime.
Susan Marguiles from Canada Post Corporation admits the mailboxes have been a tough sell, but she says they are working with neighbourhoods to mitigate the impact.
