Quarterback Zach Collaros has signed a contract extension with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats through the 2018 CFL season.

However, the six-foot, 222-pound native of Steubenville, Ohio, won’t be starting the season for Hamilton. He continues to recover from a knee injury suffered during the 2015 season. The Ticats still made Collaros their nominee for the CFL’s outstanding player award for the second straight year. Collaros led Hamilton to a Grey Cup appearance in 2014.
