Colin Farrell charms St Thomas
One of Hollywood’s biggest actors, was in one of Ontario’s smaller towns Friday.
Colin Farrell was in St Thomas, just south of London today, filming scenes for the remake of the Arnold Schwarzenegger hit “Total Recall”.
Ferrell imposed a media blackout, but was very generous with more than 200 people, who won a lottery at the Formet truck frame assembly plant. They were given about an hour to meet and greet the star.
Jay Canning was one of the lucky ones.
He waited two hours in the hot sun for a chance to meet the star, and was suitably impressed.
“He came in, we were allowed in in groups of 40… One group photo, and I think that’s going to be on the website, and then, he wasn’t supposed to sign autographs, but then everyone was like, ‘can you sign this’ and he signed quite a few autographs, shook hands, hugged the ladies, and when we were leaving they handed us a gift bag.”
The gift bag contained a hat, an autographed photo, and a water bottle.
Not quite in the range of gift bags from Oprah, or Oscar. But hey – who’s complaining?
