A St. Catharines man has been arrested and charged for break and enter after stealing a coin collection valued at over $10,000.

Niagara police investigation revealed that an apartment in the area of Centre and Court streets in St. Catharines was broken into in December.

Mark Steeves, 56, was arrested and charged yesterday for the offence of break, entering and committing theft related to the incident.

He has been released from police custody and is awaiting a future court date.
