In an update posted Monday, the TSB says the recovery of part of the cockpit included the voice recorder, which is now set to be sent to the TSB’s Engineering Laboratory in Ottawa for examination.

According to the TSB, the air ambulance was carrying six people when it approached the area around Boston, Mass. on Oct. 3, 2026.

The crew on the plane reported electrical difficulties before descending rapidly and losing contact with air traffic control.

All six passengers died in the crash, including four Canadians and two people from Bermuda.
