Cochlear implant worth $10K stolen at Grand Bend beach

Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is investigating after a cochlear implant was stolen in Grand Bend.

The victim contacted Lambton OPP around 6 p.m. on Sunday.

They reported a pair of shoes had been stolen on the main beach sometime between 1:30 p.m. and 6 p.m.

The victim told police their cochlear implant was inside the stolen shoes.

A cochlear implant is a device that helps to improve hearing in children and adults with severe to profound hearing impairments. It is valued at $10,000.
