Coca Cola names Jarvis Ont., as Canada’s kindest community

The soft-drink manufacturer Coca Cola has declared the Town of Jarvis, Ont., “Canada’s kindest community.”
The town in between Port Dover and Hagersville reportedly stood out over 600 communities that were nominated in their Canada’s Kindest Community Contest.
Specifically, the festive house-decorating contest the Jarvis Light Up contest in the holiday season of 2024 rallied the community to decorate their streets and homes.
A contest that has been held in the community annually since 2020.
A $50,000 donation was given to the Norfolk Community Foundation Wednesday afternoon.
The special cheque presentation was attended by the president of Coke Canada Bottling Stephen du Toit, Haldimand County Mayor Shelley Ann Bentley, Bruce Shoff from the Norfolk Community Foundation, and members of the Holiday Light Up Committee.
