CNE warning against online fake ticket scams

The Canadian National Exhibition is warning people that there are companies and websites attempting to sell unauthorized tickets.

Officials from the CNE said the website gogroupdeals.com claims to be selling admission tickets at a discount for $11.02; regular adult tickets cost $19.

The website ranks high on Google when searching for CNE ticket deals or discounts.

The CNE has received a number of complaints from people who have tried to buy the tickets, indicating the website collects personal banking information but then doesn’t make the tickets available for download or pickup.

If this has happened to you you’re asked to call police.

According to the CNE there are only three legitimate ways to buy tickets: online at theex.com, at CNE ticket booths and at GO stations.
