Clothing Drive

The annual dress drive is on at Mapleview Shopping Centre, and this year it includes guys formal wear too.

The drive is part of project prom, a campaign that helps grades 8 to 12 students who may not be able to afford a dress or suit for the occasion. Crystal Leochko from Brash Avenues is helping with the project…

“We reached out to schools in the GTA, Halton of course, Hamilton-Wentworth school boards. They distribute the information, and what they’re doing is they’ll often know the students that have financial need to get a dress or a suit this year.”

The “Dream Big Boutique” was open Thursday to show off what has been donated so far. If you would like to make a donation you can drop off dresses, suits and accessories at Brash Avenues or Mapleview Shopping Centre before May 10th.
