Closures & Fireworks

A lot of businesses will be closed Victoria day.

All government offices, libraries, banks, LCBO and Beer Stores will be shut down Monday, May 19th, along with most grocery, retail stores and malls outside tourist areas.

The HSR and Burlington Transit will operate their holiday schedules on Monday, as will Go Transit, and the TTC.

There won’t be any mail and in most areas, garbage and recycling collection will be delayed a day all next week, except in Niagara and Brant. Electricity will be at the off-peak rate all day Monday.

There will be plenty of fireworks.

There will be displays over Niagara Falls May 17th, 18th and 19th at 10:00pm. There will also be a show on May 18th at the Dundas Driving Park and at Canada’s Wonderland.

On Monday, fireworks are at Ashbridges Bay Park in Toronto, and at the Milton Fairgrounds.
