Claremont access collapse report
A new report says heavy trees and brush were the reason a section of the retaining wall collapsed on the Claremont access.
Back in February, the retaining wall above the access failed, causing rocks and mud to spew out onto the road forcing a closure in the downbound lanes.
One lane is still closed.
The city has now hired a contractor to remove the trees and brush from along the access and to reinforce the barrier.
That work is expected to wrap up by the end of the September.
