Christopherson cheers on Ticats

Grey Cup fever even reached the House of Commons yesterday.

The speaker of the house, Andrew Scheer, hails from Regina. So when he addressed Hamilton Centre MP David Christopherson, the rivalry showed.

“I see the honorable member for Hamilton Centre rising. I recognize him somewhat reluctantly.”

“Mr. Speaker, I cannot imagine why. With the greatest of respect, I certainly cannot challenge your opinion or authority, but it needs to be said here on the floor, as we head into this weekend: oskee wee wee.”

Speaker Scheer even commented that he was glad Canada’s forefathers had sense to colour the Commons’ seats green.
