Christmas perks for cross-border travellers

There’s some good news for holiday travellers crossing the border to visit family this weekend.

Passage over the Niagara River is free over Christmas again this year.

On Saturday and Christmas Day, there will be toll-free travel over the Rainbow, Nexus-only Whirlpool Rapids and Lewiston-Queenston bridges.

The free period runs from 11:30 p.m. Christmas Eve until 11:30 p.m. Christmas Day.
