Christine Jessop’s family express relief now that they know who killed the nine-year-old girl 36 years ago

We are learning more about the man who killed 9-year-old Christine Jessop 36 years ago.

Christine’s mother, Janet Jessop and her brother Ken tell CHCH News that Calvin Hoover was a friend who even showed up at her funeral.

“We were friends, we saw a fair amount of him socially and they had two boys and all the kids would go and play together.”

The Jessop’s say they regularly had bbq’s with the Hoover family and Calvin Hoover was part of the search parties looking for Christine after her disappearance.

Hoover, who was 28 at the time of Christine’s murder killed himself in 2015. He was discovered as the killer through DNA evidence.
