Children’s museum forced to close

Hamilton Children’s Museum at Gage Park is temporarily closed over structural concerns with the building.

An engineering company identified a number of structural concerns and made the recommendation. The museum decided last night to close until the concerns are resolved.

About 100 visitors use the two-storey brick building every day.

Hamilton’s planning and economic development department says it is looking for a temporary offsite location that will meet the museum’s programming needs.
