Child shooting victim remembered
The funeral for nine-year-old Kesean Williams, who was shot in the head in his family’s Brampton home January 23, was held Saturday in Hamilton.
Family and friends gathered at the Bay Gardens Funeral Home on Rymal Road in Hamilton. Williams and his family had recently moved to Brampton before the shooting took place.
The nine-year-old’s step-sister, Quacey Flake, said Kesean had the ability to brighten up your day. “He was just a bundle of joy if you were having a sad day and he came around he just brightened up your day. Honestly, he was like sunshine. Nothing could compare to him nobody could compare to him.”
Kesean was sitting in the living room of his new Brampton home when a bullet came through the window and struck him. He was taken to hospital where he later died.
No arrests have been made in the investigation, and it’s believed the previous owners of the home may have been targetted in the shooting.
