The Milton daycare worker charged with making child porn and sex assault appeared in court again this afternoon after police revealed that his alleged victims were all in attendance at a Milton daycare facility when the incidents took place.
For the second time in a week, Rebecca Barrows-Vrankul, Executive Director of the Milton Community Resource Centre found herself reiterating a painful topic
“We’re devastated, we’re shocked, this is heart wrenching for everyone.”
That’s because, 37-year old Steven Campbell, a recently terminated early childhood educator at the day care was arrested again on Thursday and is currently in custody facing eight counts each of making child pornography, sexual interference and sexual assault.
Police say Campbell sexually assaulted eight children at the day care, each of the children are younger than five years old. Councillors will be at the centre on Monday
Last week, Campbell was one of 80 Ontarians arrested in a province-wide investigation to tackle internet child exploitation. Campbell was charged with possessing and accessing child porn. His newest charges are a continuation of the same investigation.
Campbell will attend a bail hearing on May 12.
