Child murder charges shock accused’s Oakville ex-neighbours
The Oakville neighbours of a woman charged with killing her babies in England say they’re shocked the pretty, happy girl who grew up next door is now facing two murder charges.
Felicia Boots, 34, grew up in a Jehovah’s Witness family. She and her husband Jeff – an investment banker – have been living in Britain for about five years.
Last week, Jeff came home to find his children – 14-month old Lily and 10-week old Mason – dead. Felicia has now been formally charged in their deaths. Felicia’s mother, Debbie, told her Oakville neighbours her daughter had been struggling with post partum depression.
“She’s a nice girl, very nice. she used to come over to our place and swim in the pool. Our one son used to say, she’s like a mermaid.”
-George McRae, Felicia’s childhood neighbour
“I just spoke to Debbie and she was going back to England. She couldn’t wait to and see her two grandchildren again. She just told me Felicia needed double prescription on her medicine for depression.”
“You could tell she was worried. She got the little guy on a bottle so that that was a relief. But she was really wanting to get back there and see them and the little girl, she says, she’s so cute Linda she has that english wave and she does it with everybody and she says she’s just a sweetheart. She came over to our house and she was just the sweetest little thing you’d want. All little kids are, but she just clung to you.”
