Child care centres across the province get the green light to re-open

All childcare centres in the province will be allowed to open this Friday, June 12. Including those in areas that won’t reach stage two of re-opening the economy.
Premier Doug Ford says the measure will help families prepare to go back to work when the time comes.
Child care centres will face restrictions including limiting the number of children and staff in a defined space to 10 people, extra cleaning and COVID-19 screening measures.
Education Minister Stephen Lecce says parents who decide not to send their kids back to child care won’t lose their spot or be charged fees.
Summer day camps will also be allowed to open, with restrictions.
