It’s cherry picking time in the Niagara Peninsula. While the size of sweet cherry orchards may be shrinking, Lauran Sabourin tells us the demand for local cherries is exploding.
Dozens of people packed into a trolly and headed into the cherry orchard at Moyer’s Cherry Avenue Farms in Lincoln. Tom Moyer’s family has been growing fruit in Niagara for 215 years and right now he has seven thousand sweet cherry trees.
