One of the highlights of today’s announcement for CHCH involves its parent company, Channel Zero. A film distributed by division Ouat Media has been nominated in the short film/live action category.

Just Before Losing Everything tells the story of Miriam, a supermarket cashier who decides to leave her violent husband before it’s too late.

Ouat Media’s expanding catalogue of Academy Award nominated and winning films, includes 2013 winner Curfew and 2011 winners God of Love and The Lost Thing.
