Charges are pending after a collision involving a vehicle going the wrong-way on the Gardiner Expressway Saturday night.

A Chrysler 300 driven by a 33-year old woman from Orangeville was going east in the westbound lanes. Witnesses started calling 911 but before it could be stopped, it collided with a Ford Focus.

One vehicle flipped, landing on it’s roof in the crash which occurred at about 10:30pm in the westbound express lanes.

Three people were injured and taken to hospital although all the injuries are considered minor.

The westbound lanes Gardiner between Kipling and Islington Avenues was opened just after 4am after a closure of almost six hours.
