Charges laid following drug raids
Halton police have arrested 6 people for drug and gun trafficking following early morning raids last week.
Police seized $65,000 worth of items from different residences in Toronto and Brampton.
Those items went on display in Milton Tuesday morning.
The items include marihuana, cocaine, three firearms, cash and three vehicles.
Police say the suspects were involved in trafficking drugs and firearms into the Halton region.
Police say the bust has had a major impact, especially in a small community.
Nishan Duraiappah of Halton Police commented: “I would say that street level drug activity impacts our community most notable at greater levels. The reason is it’s based on individual addictions which impact families, communities and have secondary crimes related to it.”.
Police say 108 charges were laid against two men and a woman from Brampton, along with three people from Toronto.
