Charges laid in double fatal

A Hamilton woman is charged in last week’s deadly collision near Smithville that claimed two lives.

Albunit Hiseni and his passenger Flamur Miftari of Stoney Creek were travelling in a red Honda that was hit after a Mazda and a pick-up truck collided on Regional Road 20. The pick-up spun around and the Honda slammed into it.

Two people from Wainfleet in the pick-up were taken to hospital; they have since been released.

Police have charged the driver of the Mazda, Roza Omerahmad, 20, of Hannon with careless driving.
